Stafford Lynn is a well known and popular figure within our industry here in Northern Ireland and joins John Preston Healthcare in our 170th year as a family business in Ireland.

He is our new Product Specialist for the RGK range of active and sport wheelchairs in Northern Ireland along with the innovative Smart Drive Power Assist system.

He has of course been working with RGK and their exceptional range of made to measure wheelchairs for over 10 years and within that time has enjoyed the highest level of industry training.

Regular visits to the RGK manufacturing base has allowed him to see first hand the skill and level of engineering expertise that goes in to building every single RGK wheelchair.

His intimate knowledge of the products and of the challenges involved in being a wheelchair user means he is ideally placed to help you with your unique needs.

Commenting on the changes he has seen Stafford remarked ” There have been incredible changes in the last decade in the manufacturing processes and the type of equipment available on the market now is astounding.

In particular the change from Titanium to the use of 70 / 20 grade aluminium has been a massive game changer “.

All RGK wheelchairs are hand built in England and all are bespoke and built to order. This approach is what attracted Stafford to RGK as a brand and as a business.

The Smartdrive wheelchair power assist system is also available in Northern Ireland through Stafford and John Preston Healthcare.

This innovative and clever power assist device is a revolutionary new product that attaches easily to your wheelchair and can power you continuously or provide power assist.

A clever wrist strap can be used to control this and it unclips very quickly and easily so you can store it in the boot of your car or at home.

Outside of work he has managed to find the time to become an All Ireland champion at tennis, play Basketball for the NI Knights and travel all over the world!

He recently got married to Jean and they were both the cover stars of the recent Ability NI magazine editorial featuring their road trip around Ireland enjoying accessibility around the country.
