Safespaces are attractive, safe, living and sleeping spaces for people with special needs.

They are custom made safe rooms and sleep areas that can be used at home, in schools and for respite care or holidays.

Safespaces equipment is designed for adults and children who may be unsafe in an ordinary room or bed.

Typically we supply products for people with special, sometimes very complex needs including autism, epilepsy and behaviours that challenge.

We work closely with parents, carers, occupational therapists and other professionals, as well as architects and design engineers to develop our products to ensure they are right for the person using them.

Our dedicated team will support you through every stage of the process, from initial enquiry to design, supply, installation and aftercare of your equipment.

Design and Quotes

We can provide a quote tailored to your specific needs. For the Safespace this will include a 3D design of what the Safespace will look like in your room, school or setting.

For any Safespaces products a quote will be made up of:

• Cost of main Product
• Cost of selected Accessories
• VAT if applicable
• Installation – see below

Any Safespaces product that requires specialist installation will be fitted by fully trained and experienced staff.

We will arrange with you in advance a date and time for delivery and fitting. Installation training is available upon request.

Some products will be delivered with assembly instructions.

Certain Safespaces products may also require additional fixing by a local joiner/handyperson. All brackets will be supplied.

Safespace

A versatile, durable and soft, sleep and relaxation space for anyone who may be unsafe in an ordinary room

Who it’s for?

The Safespace is designed for those with autism, epilepsy, behaviours which challenge and profound multiple learning difficulties, including those with full mobility.

It provides an extremely robust space that can be kicked, punched and head-butted. It can withstand the roughest treatment by both children and adults.

It provides a space in which someone can sleep, move, roll or play freely, reducing the risk of injury by eliminating hard surfaces.

Safespace Hi-Lo

For those who require nursing care and the flexibility of a height adjustable platform, the Safespace Hi-Lo has a 41cms range of travel to provide a comfortable working height for most carers.

There are no moving parts or hard surfaces inside the Safespace compartment providing a soft, safe sleeping area.

Safespace Siesta

A versatile, strong and comfortable high-sided sleep area, suitable for those with limited mobility

Who it’s for

The Siesta is designed for those who may have a lot of movement and strength, but are unable or disinclined to pull up or climb over the high sides.

The customisable design makes it suitable for those with complex or varying nursing needs and those requiring a hoist.

It’s robust ‘flex-out’ sides can be kicked, punched, head-butted or rocked against, and help keep a person safe from injuries and from falling against hard surfaces for example during seizures.

Cosyfit

A robust high-sided sleep area, which can be easily dismantled and stored

Who it’s for?

The Cosyfit is designed for individuals with limited mobility and is robust enough for adults and children who may rock, thrash about, push or kick.

For those with the ability to stand, walk, pull to standing or climb, we usually recommend the Safespace.

The Cosyfit also creates a safe environment for those who may otherwise be restricted to a wheelchair.

Cosyfit Hi-Lo

A high-sided, height adjustable bed with Trendelenburg option.

Who it’s for?

Designed for those who cannot stand, but who have the strength or capacity to rock, thrash, push or kick, and so need safer bed sides.

It is used both in the home as well as in residential and care settings.

Safespace Voyager

A safe, transportable bed for holidays and trips away from home

Who it’s for?

The Voyager is often used by those who already rely on Safespaces products. It is suitable for respite care and for those who are uncomfortable in unfamiliar surroundings or are used to a safe room
